Did very well at Waipiti, started out with some blood midges and landed a few, saw some rises and switched to a size 20 white midge, killed them on top for the next three hours. Wind REALLY picked up and I found myself casting into my face, so I left. Moved to the Vrain by Button Rock and picked up a few little brownies on some 20 green copper johns.

I've been thinking about hiiting up the T below olympus.
That is the Big T below olympus, its also a favorite walking area for locals, so they named the little park Wapiti Meadows. Its fishing really well man, small white midges on top all day long. Get there early, wind is terrible at about noon. Bring some black beauts and some blood midges. Parking is free this time of year, usually 5 bones the rest of the year. March or April is when they start charging again.
