I plan on picking up my new (New to me) boat tomorrow, I dont have a cover for the boat. I would like some feedback from forum members on what kind of boat cover to purchase (material). Any vendor you recommend. The boat will be stored outside.

I had a custom Sunbrella cover made for my ski boat in 2004. It has held up great (no fading, no tears), but you have to re-water proof every year which is a PITA.

This year I bought a custom fit Sharkskin cover. According to the maker, you don't have to re-water proof.

Depending on the boat, you ought to check out baldmikes.com. I've bought several things from him and his service and prices are great.

2003 Monark 170 DC with a 90 HP 4 Stroke. Its 17.4 ft with a 92 inch beam. Thanks for the tip. I'll buy the cover after I pick up the boat. My budget is $300

I would either buy a decent one at bass pro or get a custom one made.

And if youre storing it outside I would use a normal tar[ over it in the winter.
