1 ounce of weight for every 10 feet of depth is a good rule of thumb. It is allzman said:One ounce of lead for every 10 feet and try and keep the line angle at 45 degrees...
relative to the speed you are moving and the resistance of the rig you have
attached to the bouncer. Slow drifting with small blades require less (maybe
1/2 ounce per 10 feet) to maintain the 45 degree line angle.
As for line length from the bouncer. Sometimes it is best to keep it in the 18"
to 24" range to keep your bait from snagging up on the bottom. If the bottom
is relatively smooth, I like to use a 3-4 foot leader.
