Headed out with my beater 6wt this morning.
All the LM were on the redds, and since I was throwing dries, they couldn't care less. Not spooked circling at my feet as I cast. Probably could have gotten one or two pissed enough if I tied on a small streamer, but decided not too. Panfish with eyes bigger than their stomachs striking all day. Ended up landing three heavy lil' guys, after switching hook sizes a couple times. #10-12 Foam hoppers in bright green and tan and an #12 EHC did the trick. Fun stuff! Forgot how decent sized sunfish like to fight/run!
Took a stop and made some casts in Boulder Creek for a while. No dice. Still milky green but at a good CFS right now. Perfectly acceptable temp to wet wade already, at least where I was at--Two weeks ago, the flows and temp coming outta Gross were still cold and fast as balls.
