Drove through a driving rain yesterday afternoon, to find clearing skies as I got to a spot I haven't fished in a while. The sun came out, and it was a gorgeous afternoon. I fished from about 3:00 PM to about 7:00 PM, and did not see anyone else on the water the whole time.
I caught a pretty even mix of brown trout and cutbows, all on a size 18 Flashback PT or size 20 Copper John. I brought 6 or 7 to the net, and lost about the same amount. I was using a size 12 foam hopper on top, and only had one fish interested. Water was running clear, and made for some great fishing...
