I wasn't that far up in the canyon during the morning when I was on Boulder Creek. If you drive up Canyon Rd., I parked at the first "parking lot" on your right where all the people are always climbing -- just after where the Boulder Creek path goes under Canyon and turns to dirt. There's a nice stretch of water if you walk down the steep bank right in front of the cars. The creek path continues up the canyon another mile and some and there's plenty of fishable water the whole way.
I think the fish are feeding pretty well right now -- there were bug hatches going on all morning on Boulder Creek. Water levels in South Boulder creek are down a bit now from a few weeks ago, so the fish are even more concentrated in the available water -- seemed like after I caught one or two from a pool I had to move on and come back to catch more.
