Stopped at Boyd this morning on my way somewhere else. I cast out a thermometer and measured 46 degrees at the 20 ft. level; 43 degrees at the shoreline. Still too cold for any real action. Half a dozen shore fishermen at the northwest end. One lady did catch about an 8 inch trout while I was there. A little girl with her ran around screaming, "Grandma caught a fish!" I sure do approve of starting the kids out early, give 'em some training and good memories.
