Hit Boyd yesterday and it was a nice day to be out but slow fishing. Caught a bunch of stokers and a smallie probably should’ve fished deeper but was mostly just getting the boat wet and soaking up some rays. Lake is about 5 feet low. On a side note Lonetree is all fenced off at both the inlet and the boat ramp. I need to call the Dow to see what’s the status but looks like RIP. More licenses sold + license fee increase = one more less front range lake. I need to get into the wildlife business.

Is the rainbow trout fishing as good as it was on Chatfield, when we lived in Parker? When we were at Boyd, for a visit last July 2018, the water sure was cold enough for rainbows.

Got some dandy rainbows out of Chatfield, in the No Wake Area back in 2005/2006 during the summer months. Use earthworms bought at Walmart.
