I talked my friend into taking his little one (2 years old) fishing down to Brush Hollow today. So I rigged him up a pole (ice fishing rod with a zebco 33 reel, perfect fit). Cody called the neighbor girl and off we went. We (they didnt wet a line had to help them all) fished the Northwest side of the lake it was extremely windy and we moved to try and find little coves out of the wind. Didnt find many and didnt stay to long. Chris (2yr old) caught 10 bluegill including the biggest one, Cody caught 6 bluegill, and Mattie (the neighbor girl) caught 1 the smallest one. Cody and Mattie also caught a bunch of tadpoles which seemed to interest them more then fishing today.

Me helping Chris get his first fish in, going over the complexities of the reel.

Chris taking over by himself, cause "I can do it, Rick"

The Neighbor girl's trophy fish.

Cody trying to remove the hook and keep his hands as far from those spines as possible. Everytime the fish wiggles in his hand he gets stung so he is overly cautious now.

No I didnt even try with the wind and the snag factor I just helped the kids, had to put the waders on a couple times to get fish out of trees, now there's a sight.

Forgot to add the water level was even higher then the last time I went, kind of made it hard to find good shore to fish from.

ps any one know where the bigger crappie are hiding?
On the northeast side of the lake there is a little channel of water threw the vegatation, with a dead tree laying down in the water. I've caught a couple nice ones in the vegatation right to the north of that, and released them so they should still be there.
