I talked my friend into taking his little one (2 years old) fishing down to Brush Hollow today. So I rigged him up a pole (ice fishing rod with a zebco 33 reel, perfect fit). Cody called the neighbor girl and off we went. We (they didnt wet a line had to help them all) fished the Northwest side of the lake it was extremely windy and we moved to try and find little coves out of the wind. Didnt find many and didnt stay to long. Chris (2yr old) caught 10 bluegill including the biggest one, Cody caught 6 bluegill, and Mattie (the neighbor girl) caught 1 the smallest one. Cody and Mattie also caught a bunch of tadpoles which seemed to interest them more then fishing today.
Me helping Chris get his first fish in, going over the complexities of the reel.
Chris taking over by himself, cause "I can do it, Rick"
The Neighbor girl's trophy fish.
Cody trying to remove the hook and keep his hands as far from those spines as possible. Everytime the fish wiggles in his hand he gets stung so he is overly cautious now.
