Three Deadliest Catch stars have jumped ship.

Capts. Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand, who were sued earlier this month by Discovery for allegedly not performing work on a planned spin-off show, as well as Capt. Sig Hansen, tell The Hollywood Reporter they have quit working, saying they are "unable" to continue on the hit adventure series due to the litigation.

"We have been through a lot over the past year and unfortunately given the current situation with Discovery we are unable to continue participating in Deadliest Catch," the three crab-catchers said in a joint written statement. "It has been a fantastic ride, and we wish the best to all of the amazing and supportive Catch fans we have met over the years."

Discovery has not responded yet to the news.

I was just reading about this online. That whole thing is quite strange. (sometimes I have to wonder though - reality TV executives need a good 'reality check' from time to time, don't they?)

All things considered, I still say the Deadliest Catch guys have probably been the most 'believable' of reality stars - no 'Dancing' for these dudes. I have had a feeling since Phil Harris died that the series was gonna fade away... :(

Discovery is screwed. Those are the popular captains along with the late Phil. That series is done for sure. Deadliest Catch wouldn't be the same without those guys.
