Anybody know anything,I know you need a permit and they go on sale april 1st,(13.00) but has anyone fished it? I was thinkin it looked kinda like Cheeseman,which by the way was my favorite,bar-none lake for LARGE trout and bass till the fire and closure! I'm jonesin for the CHEESE!!!! I guess I kinda got off on a tangent there,somebody help me!

I've never fished there, but It's a pretty nice hike. If you head up 36 from Lyons, about 5 miles from Estes Park, there's a turn (left) to Big Elk Meadows. A few miles down, the road splits. It's paved to the right. You take a left, it's a dirt road ror maybe a mile to the trailhead. In the summer, I see alot of people mt. biking in w/ their rods. I know theirs easier ways to get there, but sometimes getting there is half the fun.
