Fished from 2:30 to 5:00 just south of Dam 1 with my wife. Most of the lake had open water with some thin ice in the center...most of that was gone by the time we left...saw a couple boats cruising the north end. Threw out some powerbait and worms on one rod and threw twister tails and kastmasters on the other. No hits on the lures but got some bites on the bait and landed one 14" trout...nothing for my wife. I have never been to Carter before...nice lake except for the fees....might try and fish it in the boat when the water warms.

Hey YJ,the north end right by the boat ramp is a VERY productive spot for fat bows.We generally do well there before the water level rises.Might see ya there soon.Look for the white Durango.
