Planning to go fishing to carter lake this weekend to try it out
Any tips and pointers on this lake. which areas to avoid or what type of fish should i be targeting there this time of the year?

Thanks,

Walleye is a good target this time of year. I have had decent luck running crawler harnesses between Dam 2 and 3. The first point southwest of Dam 2, 15ft to 20ft. of water, morning or evening. Also try the sand beaches, the eyes should be staging there. The only negative is the limit regulation for eyes.

Good Fishin!

i have had good luck with trout this year and not too bad a luck with walleye. for trout i like to troll a blue fox spinner or if i have lots of lines out i will troll cast masters and tazmanian devils. trout seem to hit good for me after 2pm. you can find them anywhere on the lake. i have caught them in the middle in 150' of water and right off the shore line in 1' of water. i hear there are nice bass in there but i have yet to catch one. i am going to try this year to figure them out up there.
