This time of year, I don't move too much. It usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour before the cats find my bait. Once they've found it, the bites come quicker and quicker as I spend more time out and more fish find where I'm fishing. Just a thought.

That rock dam looks like a perfect spring time (spawning) location. When the cats start to out east it's about the first of June... fish it with a bobber and a minnow..two to three foot leader with a small piece of shot to hold the minnow down. At that time keep walking the rocks..cast..wait a few minutes..move ten feet down the rocks and repeat. Keep moving...You'll only want to be fishing three to ten feet off the rocks. If they're there, they'll hit. It's a fun way to fish.
