:) I shared this site on another thread, but here it is again...this is my favorite video on catfishing so far... www.catfishgrabblers.com Now this is the way to fish for catfish! LOL!

Channel cats are the main cat here in Colorado, probably some bullheads but so far it's been channels that i have caught. Would be nice if we had blue cats, they get pretty big.

I found a Colorado Fishing Forecast for 2004 for the Arkansas drainage prepared by the Division of Wildlife...it appears that Blues have been stocked in 4 Reservoirs...Adobe (Blue) Lake, John Martin, Nee Noshe, and Henry Reservoir...the average size reported in Nee Gronde for channel cats was incredible...7 pounds...here is the link...

The state record for Blue's in Colorado is only 20lbs 1 ounce and that was set in 1976. So there is definately room for improvement. The Blue cat in the picture I posted is the Oklahoma State record at 98lbs. Thats a whole lot of fish!

Nah if I went down that way for big fish it would be after Alligator gar, Oklahomas record at 180 lbs or Texas' at 279 lbs. The only thing you can catch here comparable to that is a 6ft pikeminnow which is about 80lbs. The problem with that is its a minnow there is little or no fight, huge cats dont put up fights either. However and alligator gar will give you one hell of a fight and with a fish large enough to pull you around and that scary looking, would be fun!
