Went up to check out Chambers.  Brought enough gear to fish, but no bait for Macks.  Ice was 5-7" thick, and solid.  Temps cold, so holes were freezing over a little.  Stayed on the south end of the lake near the mouth of the Joe Wright Creek inlet to have shelter from the south wind, which I wasn't dressed for.  Caught a mess of stocker rainbows in no time with 2" tube jigs slathered in PB trout scent.

Glad to here that thereis fishable ice at Chambers. Approximately how low did the lake appear?

Top of ice was at the bottom of pavement at boat ramp, so depth is probably 2-3 vertical feet lower than January/February last winter. Late summer, it was nearly 30 feet low, I heard. If true, it came up quite a bit during the fall.
