I punched a few holes at Chatfield in 15ft. water off the swim beach. Only had a few hours to fish. No luck, no bites. I must get the smell of skunk off me soon. Talking to other guys out there who did have luck though. They were using a small kastmaster silver with a live minnow on the hook and were actively jigging. They caught their limit. I heard green sparkly power bait 1 ft. off bottom was working as well.
I will probably go again to another area of the lake on the 18th. I'll post results.

Re: Chatfield 12-16 Fri.

I had a solid 4 inches, maybe a little more. No soft or thin areas that I saw.

Where are you gonna try on the 18th Ice? I might try to make it down there for a while myself.

:mad:I was on the ice early am to early afternoon between Massey and the swim beach, just north of the point. I threw everything I had at them. Nada, Zip, not a damn thing. A few guys I met on the ice  got a couple of small bows on rainbow power bait near the bottom.
I am going to post a string on the ice fishing forum about why I think the action is almost always slow on full moon periods.
