Was at Chatfield today with one other person. Fished from 2pm through 7pm. In total we caught nearly 30 small mouth bass, and one trout on accident. The largest one was 17"+ and 3lbs. It was definitely one of my better days at Chatfield for smallies.

Nice job and nice report. Were you fishing along the dam? I am going to head out tomorrow morning and give it a try. I also have very little experience fishing jigs so if you could tell me how you fished them that would be great. thanks

Actually they are very good I never new it. The guy I was fishing with wanted me to keep one to try out I was very impressed. It didn’t taste fishy just nice flaky white meat. I thought you guys might get a kick out of the before and after shots.
