Fished off the shore just west of the marina from 9am until about 2pm. Landed a decent sized smallmouth within 30 minutes using a green floating jig tipped with a leech. Got a few more good bites off the leeches but only ended up landing the one bass. Once they stopped hitting the leeches we used nightcrawlers and powerbait to catch a couple stocker rainbows. The weather was very gloomy, with a nice breeze and the occational mist/rain showers. Air Temp was mid 40's. Not the most successful day but hey, im used to getting skunked at chatfield. Heres a picture of the smallmouth i caught... first of the year.
