Picked up a boat last fall and have been dying to get out there and give it some exercise. After getting skunked a couple of times, I've had a little success in the last week.
Plenty of small fish, but caught several 2 pounders yesterday in a new area of Chatfield (for me). They were hitting the 5" senko pretty hard in about 12 ft of water on a steep sand bank. They were also more active when there was a little wind blowing into the bank. Took a couple of pics...
Green seemed to be preferred over other colors. Chartreuse tipped senkos also seemed more popular than non tipped.
Anyone else going after smallies? Most of the guys I talked with were after "eyes."
