Cheap Kayak, Money fish.

Went to the land of and. At the last second threw the yak on the trailer. Good choice because water was low and gin clear. Shore fishing sucked badly. Got everything on a brown tube in 20 ft of water between noon and 2 pm. ended up with 3 bows and 3 eyes in about 8 hours of fishing over 2 days.

Sounds like tough fishing, but looks like you made the best of it.
Ah, Slayer can have whatever titles there are to be had. I just like going fishing.
it wasn't a hardcore fishing trip. Went camping with the wife and kids.(jack Russels). Killed a lot more beers than fish!:D
My buddy says...Should I bring a grill. We can have a shore lunch. Yeah, right. Bring a sandwich, I said.
Yep, Her Birthday's today. And by today, I mean all week. We're heading to the mountains tomorrow.
They are great for quickly getting around the lake. The biggest problem with using one is you're at the mercy of the wind. With a toon, you have fins or a motor or two to hold you in place, giving you hands free fishing on any location A big deal to me since a toon's my only "boat." I'd think about a pedal kayak except they are so pricey...may as well buy a boat..and pedal kayaks aren't light.
Whomp, if you really want to make it easy on yourself, just get a good float tube and some Force Fins. Good in the wind, you can cover quite a bit of ground, light and easy to transport. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think my toon has helped me learn much more about lakes than when I had my boat. You had to choose a part of the lake and work every nook and cranny to see if it held fish. Couldn't just hop from spot to spot. Over time, you learn a lot about a lake. Remembering, that just because fish aren't there today...doesn't mean they won't be there at a different time of the year.

Don't get me wrong. Now that I have a lot of spots figured out, it's nice to jump in a friends boat and hop from spot to spot to spot.
