Cheesman fished great on Wednesday. In the morning, midges were coming off like crazy but nymphing was still the way to go. I was looking forward to a nice afternoon BWO hatch, but nothing really came of it. I saw a few, but barely a hatch at all. RS2s and black beauties were working well. I'm sure any small baetis or midge pattern would have worked. That bump in flows seems to have fish a litle more active and not quite as spooky.

Also, lots of BIG post spawn rainbows are out and feeding heavily. I got into some fatties, including the largest fish I've ever seen come out of Cheesman. Pics and full report here: http://flyfishinginco.blogspot.com/2015/04/big-cheesman-rainbows.html

Excellent report. Nice writing and photos, and you're catching bigger fish.

The weight guess - just leave it out next time and you can't be wrong ;). This site used to delete teaser/blog links, but the New Reich Canadians probably can't be bothered. It does leave a foul taste in the mouths of some though.

Thanks.

I'll probably just delete the weight part, LOL.
