F&H is a decent "rag" that covers the Colorado area fairly well. Sometimes it points me in a new direction or place I would not have considered. I think they do a good job of keeping the articles around 60/40. 60% being good info you may not get anywhere else and 40% is basic generic info most folks already are aware of.
I am not a big fan of selling subscriptions. Buy what you need if you can and read the mag when you are not fishing. Just my opinion but it seems like you have to sell a lot of subscriptions to get the boat...which is all I could use. Maybe others have a different opinion.
That is a good thing to mention, Epic. I have that site bookmarked and will toss out the link. They have some good maps and most of the articles are in the archive section.
Matt summed it up pretty well. I'm considering switching my subscription to the Oregon or Washington edition, since more of the info printed in those mags would be new to me. Haven't tried to sell anything, so can't help you there.
It used to be a lot better than it is. They really have poor coverage of west slope lakes, everything they cover is over in the east. The guy that does the west slope local area is pretty much just a hunter and just posts lakes that have been recently stocked which aren't of interest to me.
Dave Hulling form COlorado Springs wrote in there a few years ago...with Ed, adn Steve...it was a better mag then, but I admit I still get it...Nice to have the encouragement all year around..! (Plus they'll print pictures of fat guys with walleyes!)
