Lower Colorado River Cats are starting to move up out of the heavy run off into back waters and breaks along the edges. This is one I kept due to a badly hooked gill. I caught it drifting crayfish tails along the edges. I generally release most except for a few small ones on occasion. The cats have had a rough time over the last several years with the USFWS shocking and removing them from the Colorado. This year they are concentrating on removing the small mouths. The sport fish removal on the Lower Colorado has been going on for some time. Something that a lot of people don’t know about.
