The past month I've been learning to use a baitcaster. I picked up a square bill crank bait since I heard they were good in fall and headed to the local pond.

I was crankin away when I suddenly felt a GOOD pull... I jerked back and set the hook only to feel nothing on the other end :mad:

Then to my surprise I saw I actually hooked a fish!

Turns out I probably hit bottom or a log or something and this guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time!

NOTE: I've attached two pictures... one for the general public and one "Slayer Version" so he can't figure out where my honey hole is! LOL

Slayer isn't the only one to block out the background, actually most people here do. For valid reasons!

Hey at least you caught something! lol One time I was driving my boat and had let a jerkbait hang off the side by accident, got to my next destination and there were 3 impaled shad on it :D wrong place wrong time

I'm just giving Slayer a hard time. He has given me some great tips which I am very thankful for!

3 impaled shad... definitely wrong place at the wrong time!
