how do u guys cook the crappie .... caught some today at boyd, but not sure how to cook them the best way? ???

fillet, skin, bread and fry put on toast with some bacon lettuce tomato and avocado.

man now i need some crappie of my own

never ... i caught a couple today, and still have a couple in the fridge, decent size ones(7-10") so i guess ill be happy!

Beer batter. Bread. Tar-tar (Or Heinz 57 for the brave). Maybe a chunck or cheddar.

I've given it a few seconds thought, and decided it doesn't matter how youcook them. THey are so darn tasty that COOKED is sufficient!

my 'shake and bake' recipe is 2 parts corn meal to 1 part flour. season to taste. rinse the crappie, pat dry and coat them with the meal/flour and then fry them in oil. eat as is, or make that tasty sammich.

"nuoc mam"...smells like no other, and dont ask how its made---- but if you can get over that its pretty good. definately an aqquired taste...
