The CWA had their fourth tournament at North Sterling this weekend. It was the first time I have ever fished it and it is a cool lake!! Literally, a couple of thousand fish were caught:eek: Walleye, wiper, crappie and a lot of drum. Two of my buddies caught a 13 and 14 lb wiper. I use to think Pueblo was the snaggiest lake in Colorado but not anymore. Between the flooded trees, brush and countless cabbage weed, I lost about a $100 in jigs:mad: It was a really close tournament with team 3-15 only being 1-2 lbs difference. A local team caught 15 lbs each day for 30 lbs and won. We ended up with 24 lbs for our two 5 fish limits and finished in 12th place. Great fishery, beautiful lake, facilities and really nice people in Sterling! We had 30 teams show up and I think it may become an every year location for the CWA as long as it keeps it water?

Sounds pretty close, definitely some strategy involved with that many fish being caught.
Thanks for the update!:thumb::thumb:
