Got off work at 2, was fishing below Deckers by 4:30. The fly shiop was closed for some reason, so I put on my classic South Platte set up. Orange San Juan trailing a cream colored scud. My dad and I fished one spot for awhile with no luck, and moved down the road a bit to some slow moving water with good rocky structure. I got one small rainbow on the san juan, and had one slightly bigger bow on the scud that managed to flip off. This is the first time I've fished the area since the fire. The fishing seems to be recovering. I hear the canyon up there is pretty good too. Nice to get the flyrod out once and awhile, dad got the skunk, hehehe.

I hear the trout count for this area is around 50/50 rainbos/browns which is great, I love them browns.
