Lake John/Delaney Butte Lakes

Here is a quick update on a few lake conditions. Some of the smaller ponds are beginning to loosen up, however, main bodies such as John, Cowdrey and the Delaneys are still locked tight with well over a foot of ice. Of course, everything is dependent on the weather, and ice fishing will soon become an iffy proposition, though should still be safe for the next week or so with the use of common sense. Streams .

I have been considering a trip myself, but it will be during the week if I do it.
Oliver, North Park Anglers has reported a couple of places that the lakes are opening up.
