stopped by lake deweese on my way to the ranch and saw a couple of my buddies camped in the honey hole the lake was pretty packed but not to many boaters crusing. so i stopped and kicked it awhile with the gang they had a couple rods in with worms and rainbow sparkle powerbait and about every 20 min they would get hit and in the couple hours i hung out they landed 6-7 nice bows nothing under 16 inches they ended up feeding me some campfire BBQ ribs and baked beans and i headed out. ill be back to fish my self when a few folks head home. didnt see many fish caught on either side of us. several folks kept asking what bait they were using and stuff like that they helped em out a bit gave some nightcrawlers away and showed a few how to set up with slip sinkers of course no one said anything about the honey hole man structure can shure make a difference even with trout

You bet structure makes a difference. The holes and good areas are really the key in my opinion, not what you are using. Trout, even large wild ones (all species), just aren't too tough to catch. Of course the technique matters too.
