Anyone been out or know how thick the ice is at either Dillon or Green Mountain? Saw a few people out on the inlet to Snake River on Dillon a few weeks ago but looked cramped. Trying to get out by Dillon Bay area over the weekend. Thanks

Fished the bay of Dillon on Sunday for about 4 hours. Stayed in the depths of 25-35'. I got skunked and my lady out fished me. Saw a lot of fish on the Marcum. Schools would move in and out. Set up a jawjacker at 80' with sucker meat for some Lakers but had no luck. At one point during the day we had a 30'' + Brown swim right underneath us. Ice was 6-8'' in the area we were in and it was singing all day.

You might have better luck for Lakers at a lake that, um, has Lakers in it. :(

Try the same thing at GM, 60 feet of water and you'll be busy. :)

ice is plenty safe throughout, but i would wait till we get a snowstorm before riding sleds. there is only a skiff of snow on the ice and big patches of bare ice.
