Have not fished it for years. It had a lot of rainbow and a good population of browns.
Probably still does, but I can not say so for sure.
You can fish the shoreline on both sides of where the canal enters the lake all year long as frequent pumping from Granby keeps the lake open for quite a distance out into the lake. I
have seen some nice trout caught by people walking the sides of the canal and drifting bait
in the current. Be careful as this can be icy. Was up there one day when a guy slipped and
fell into the canal. He got out okay but it ruined a fishing outing.
i fish the canal , it is full of kokanee salmon, this year i caught lots of silver kokanee that were from 14 to 16 inches , then i went in october and i caught the spawners in the canal, i use a slip bobber with a pink jig and wax worm , when the water is running the canal fishing good, but i like it when its not , there is a decent amount of fish in there
