What does everybody think about this?

some big, eye-popping fish that stretch beyond the humdrum of ordinary angling? Get rid of them. Afraid that some big, toothy critter might eat some precious hatchery rainbows or kokanee? Off with their heads.
I don't think TU has anything to do with it. I think it's primarily driven by the chambers of commerce, restaurant owners, motel owners, etc., that derive their income from the touristas coming to the mountains to catch some Genuine Rocky Mtn. Rainbow Trout and to troll up some genuine Kokanee Salmon. They wouldn't have the slightest idea how to catch a real wild trout. Sadly, they'll go home having whacked some anemic stockers thinking what a grand time it all was and bragging about how many they've brought home to put in the freezer. Pretty pathetic, but those are the tourists whose dollars unfortunately drive stupid regulation changes like the ones that are being proposed.fishinguitars said:maybe another reason they dont seem to care about lake trout at all is that it would be pretty hard to target them with a fly rod . (trout unlimited)
