Merry Christmas and a Happy New Fishing Year to all of my fellow fishing fanatics.
I broke away from the "Honey Do's" for a couple hours on Christmas Eve and ran over to the Dream Stream to take a look around. Wind was blowing about 30+ MPH and the 40 degree temp felt like 30 below. BIG disappointment at the river with "Plate ice" on both sides anywhere from 5-15' before you got to the water. A close to impossible fishing situation. Spent 40 minutes or so hoping there was a trout as stupid as I was, then went home to sit in front of the wood stove with a big Makers Mark. It looks like the level must have been way up, froze hard over the past few very cold weeks, then they cut the flow back?? It was not a dream stream.
