Hey all. I recently acquired a drift boat, and I'm looking to purchase an anchor. Is there a favorite out there, that's more effective than other options? I read a little about Green Anchors, and they look pretty badass, but I'm not sure if they're overkill or if there's a better option. Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance!

P.S. In case you're curious about Green Anchors, here's their website:

Doesn't Boulder Boat Works sell them? Could save you some shipping cost.

$150 for a chunk of square steel filled with lead? I'm in the wrong bidness!!!! lol
I would think a quality 15-20# mushroom anchor should hold fine in river rock and make for easy removal when it's time to go.

I have used both the pyramid and spike anchors. I like a 35# pyramid the best, it hangs up the least. Down River in Wheat Ridge sells Green anchors. I have also seen the pure lead pyramids at Sportsmans Warehouse in the past.

I thought the same thing but I forget not everyone owns the necessary tools. The torch runs $150 without the tanks. Then they get to learn how to torch weld. But if you're like me and own all the equipment, yep, even $100 screams "too much".

One can always spray a cheap anchor with Plasti Dip. LMAO.

I have about 5 anchors out in the shed, $20 and you can have one, just not cool like those but 25lb plastic coated should hold you in place.....

Not big enough for your rig but I use a 10# dumbbell weight from Wally Mart on my toon.It works great and it's cheap!
