I just did a review on a rod I purchased this summer. The Eagle Claw Featherlight spinning rod. I purchased it for my GF, I found good information and reviews this series so I figured for $20-$30 it was worth the risk. My motto with fishing equipment is "you get what you pay for" so I now have only rods over $70 in my collection. But this rod really tests that saying - you get a lot of performance and features for the money not to mention it can withstand a beating! I fell in love with it and now it's "our" rod. For the money, I don't think you can find a better rod. Great for Crappie, Sunfish, Perch, and Trout!

They are becoming a little harder to find! I will definitely be acquiring a few more. People still have them from the 80's - that's pretty impressive. I have much nicer rods but these are great. And you can toss them around, let them roll around in your trunk, etc.

I had one from my father that was probably from the 80s. Stocker slimers were lots of fun. One day it just snapped from a slimmer. Maybe it had too many years of bouncing in the back of the truck or trunk. I had lots of fun with it.
