Fished the lower eagle today and nothing happening, the river was mud color. Then went over to the colorado and the clarity was really good- colorado river green. Did really well on the colorado with rapalas and twisters.

No hit the river along the road to sweet water, then we moved to the river around parshall.
off the subject but the weirdest thing happened to me wading the river around sweet water area, was getting deep trying to get good position to fish this deep hole with big boulders and something gets stuck in me feet, so i really give a good kick to free my foot and move what was in my way and a dead deer comes floating up right next to me.. Also on another note we fish alot where the eagle gos into the colorado and the parking area was totally trashed. Old couches, trash everywhere, literally looked like a dump. this is what I don't get about the area but road kill all over it, don't know if the road guys drag dead animals down there for the coyotes, but four elk and one deer. If that wasn't bad enough some nuts cut off there heads and stuck them in the trees. Lucky I had my oldest boy who is at a age where anything grousome is of interest, but the endless questions the next four hours of why and how the heads where put in trees wears on a parent. A little long winded sorry, but its terrible how some people treat the outdoors, and really give bait fisherman a bad name.

That would creep me out...I have seen too many The Hills Have Eyes type movies...I remember a truck I used to see fishing up at the Delaneys over a decade ago...it had an older pickup camper on it...it had little animal skulls with no flesh attached all over the camper...it was creepy!

No they where not from the trains because we found two dead elk streched out along the tracks by the big bridge, they where pilled up in the parking area. I noticed all the dead deer and elk on the road from dillion to granby also. They might have to rename it slaughter highway.
