Fished primarily Cross Creek 16 thru 19 May. Caught (and released) one 14" rainbow on Wednesday (17 May) 9:00 a.m. using yellow/green sparkle power bait about 4 feet up from the bottom 50 feet from shore. Water temperature about 50 degrees and murky due to high flow of South Platte inlet, outside air temperature about 55 degrees, scattered clouds, and winds out of the northeast at 5 to 10 knots. Companion hooked one using yellow/orange sparkle power bait (approximately same time and conditions) but line broke about 10 feet from shore (probably comparable in size to the one I caught). Overall pretty slow, but fun nevertheless.
