Hiked about a mile to get to a point where I've picked up about 100 walleye this fall. The high water level, wind and floating debris made me put up the boat for night excursions until the water level drops some. Maybe.;)

The bite was on when we got there because the wind was somewhat in our face but died quickly when the wind shifted to a crosswind. That's how it is when you gamble: sometimes it pays off, sometimes you lose. We sucked it up and stayed there and ended up with only 14 walleye, 2 keepers.

I kept my streak of 20"+ walleye going and landed a 20 1/8" male. Nice fillets off that fella. Jerkbaits were the ticket, as usual but no color or pattern outproduced another.

Sorry, no pix from this trip.
