I got a friend that invited me to come out with him and the kids fishing. He was thinking going up pikes peak to south cat. I looked on the cdow site and found green mountain falls and Manitou lake on their FFW map. I think those two might have more to offer little kids. But I don't know, I am usually flailing on catch and release water. What does the peanut gallery have to say? Any other suggestions, but not Quail, Prospect or Pike view. Want to get above the city.

Ohh Boy I just found out it is going to be Kiddy Combat Fishing Weekend! This could be interesting.

My friend just moved out from the east coast. He has mostly fished salt. I dunked worms back there and then picked up fly fishing when I moved out here 15 years ago. I just put new line on my spinning rod. The old line was from the late 80's. or 90's. Did some research and got stuff for a lindy rig and tied one up. I also bought bait, red wiglers and leeches.. I feel so, so dirty..... I hope the kids have fun!
