Camped and fished the mile from 9/27 - 9-30. It was my first time there so I had nothing to compare it with, but everyone I was with said it was extremely slow for the mile. Flows were low at about 500 CFS. This did give me the opportunity to flail with some dry flies however, and I did alright on elk hair caddis. Size of fish varied alot. From 8 to 20 inches. All my bigger fish came on the spinning gear, most on Panther Martins, some on HD trout stickbaits. I also caught a surprise 13in Walleye on an HD trout.

Others I was with were catching fish on a mix of Rooster Tails, Prince Nymphs, and Platte River Specials. All in all it was a great trip, even if it was slow for the mile.

Oh, you're talking about that stretch of river up in Wyoming. I've been up there. Some big, educated fish. Long drive, lot's of people. :)
