The boots I picked up were used and cheap. They will be what I'll upgrade next.



But yes, I agree I think the boots I have are "waterproof" but not meant for cold temps.

Boots are the LAST thing you want to skimp on! Schnapps, that's a good one!

Find a friend with gear and go with them. I'm sure you can find someone on here to go with. It's tough to find fish without electronics. It's definitely possible, but taking kids for the first time you really want them to have a good time or they will not want to go again. Focus on them...
