Went to a deep narrow lake somewhere not too far from Denver on Sunday to hopefully get my friend into his first Lake Trout.

Fished from 6AM till 1:30 PM. Bite was tough, but between two of us managed 7 Rainbows, 4 Brown Trout, 1 Laker and a suprise Tiger Trout. Bite died down at 11:00 AM

Most of the fish came on a silver Kastmaster (including the Laker). I caught the biggest Rainbow on a perch colored blade bait, but the fish gods were with my buddy that day. He out fished me and caught his first Laker and Tiger trout! Mission accomplished I would say! We did try the traditional laker fair, tube jigs and sucker meat, but no fish were caught on that method.

Probably my last true open water trip of the year. Here are the best pictures.
