Well, fished at Rainbow Cove at Rampart Reservoir. Got one strike on my lures, failed to land it. Windy, about 30 - 40 mph gusts at time, and partly sunny. Temp was about 45 degrees. About 500 yards of open water on the north side of the cove, about 1500 yards on the south side (very rough estimates). A couple of teens that were there said other fishermen before them caught some lakers on sucker meat. I was using trimmed Panther Martin and Joe's Flies inline spinners as well as Kastys and Thomas spoons.

Nice... how was the hike in? Any word on if/when it might open to boats?
A few inches of hard packed snow in the shade, over half the hike was clear of any snow, and some slushy bits in parts of the hike. I haven't heard when it will open to boats. Rampart is one of my favorite places to fish. I almost cried when part of it burned.
