Just got back from a week in Alabama. My wife says we were visiting her parents I say we went on a fishing trip. Unfortunately I spent more time with my in-laws than fishing but I did manage to get in several trips to the Tennessee river.

The first day my wife and I rented a boat for a few hours. Was that ever nice, a huge reservoir and room for every boat. We literally went into the of the tributaries (which as wide as Chatfield) and we were the only boat there.

I caught a bunch of "Bream" (pronounced brim and includes all sunfish). Several nice bass, all smallies except one largemouth. Several channel cats and one long nose gar. One mean fish and stay clear of its mouth. They fight like crazy, making runs and jumping.

It was a great trip, I could have done without the humidity.

Oh, I'm getting misty about fihin' in the South, nauseous about you being in Alabama, but nothing's better than the string of lakes that slow down the Tennessee River. Hope youhad a great time.

PS- those gar's mouths are like sticking your hand in a garbage disposal, but they sure are great fighters, I don't think I've ever hooked anything that could touch it, including stripers.

So what happen to the pics? (Or were they all little).
I will post a picture of the gar on Tuesday. I am at work today and can't access it. I did not take a lot of pictures mostly of my wife's fish but she does not like me to post her pic on the net.
