Yeah, it started last year. You can't get it wrong because if you haven't bought an up to date qualifying license it won't let you buy a big game license.

I thought that the fishing license was enough to qualify? I always buy a combo anyway so I've never tried it that way though.

No, a fishing license doesn't qualify. I bought the combo senior license because it's cheaper.
