Here's my advice. Never fish with women.

I love this story.

Many years ago, I worked with the wife of an Air Force sergeant at Lowry Air Force Base. She told the story of when they were stationed at an Air Force base in Connecticut, a few years earlier. Her husband was into big mouth bass fishing, had the boat, rods, reels, lures, the whole nine yards.

For a long time, she bugged him to take her fishing so one day, he caved and took her in his boat to his favorite lake and a favorite place. He reluctantly tied on one of his favorite lures, gave her a few instructions then left her to do what she could at one end of the boat. A while later, she beckoned her husband because she thought she was hung up. She said he was boiling mad because all he could think about is how she was about to lose one of his favorite lures.

She now holds the Connecticut state women's big mouth bass record. That's why I say, never fish with women.

The largemouth bass record in Connecticut (12 14) is held by Frank Domurat and was caught in 1961.

My advise is to check the validity of your material- despite how hillarious it may have made your post appear. However, since the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy had subsequently been enacted, I guess that there is a chance that Frank was his wife?

rattman, when I had problems with math in school and asked my father for help, he always said, "read the problem". In other words, read the problem THOROUGHLY and carefully to understand the facts and question.

I looked up the CT women's record but couldn't find it. Perhaps I should have been more clear. In 1986, when she told me this story, she said she set the new record but sometimes, records stand for many years. She may still hold the record.

I apologize for my lapse in reading comprehension. Please give my best to your father.

Incidentally, I hold all of the Colorado records for all fish caught by someone who has my name. Can't look that up either.

My wife always catches the first fish. It's shameful. Last season I took her up to north slope for some cuts. I was excited to see her try her hand at lures as she always had used powerbait. I got the most but she got the first as Well as she now holds a family record for biggest cutty. She got one that was 18. I got one to shore with slayer that would have beat her but the damn thing swam away with my tube...

Here is another women out fishing men (me in particular) story. I don't know if this female only fly fishing club is still around the Denver metro area and I don't recall the name, but every time I would see them in Elevenmile Canyon, one of them would be knocking them dead in a super good looking run where I would rarely get a hit. Now that tells me life is not fair.
