I am hoping that the helpful members of this forum can give me advice on what flies I should be using to target Brown Trout at night. I have heard that Mouse flies can work well.

I have never fished this way, but there is a lake not too far from me where there are a good number of 14-18 inch browns and some even bigger. I want to try getting into them at night soon.

Mouse, muddler, or any streamer really for the shallows <6'. I used to fish a lake up north (in Colorado) at night from the belly boat and trolling a SLOW nymph was very productive in deeper water. From shore it was always a streamer/mouse. Watch out for varmint holes. lol Just remember, most mouse patterns are to catch anglers. It doesn't have to be "fancy".

^^^ This... also, go big and DARK... no need for flash, it's dark out and you need something to silhouette against the dark sky and give them a good target to hit :thumb:
