Here's one that I tie and it really works well.

I buy some of the silver lined red glass beads at Michaels. I secure it on the hook, then tie and pull peach colored egg yarn over the bead and tie off. When the egg yarn gets wet the red bead shines thru! Plus the bead and the heavy Tiemco hook help me get it down in the current!

zman that looks like a nice pattern and it more then likely will work. At spinney they were saying an apricote pattern was working best. Most egg patterns are attractors with something trailing that the fish usually hit. During the spawn they tend to hit the eggs alot mor often as they want their eggs to survive not anyone elses. If I were you I'd give it a try it wouldnt hurt anything.

Hey Neal/CO,

See you've moved off Ice Shanty and over to here. Do you have a picture of your egg pattern? I like what I'm imagining it to be but would like a confirmation if possible. I'm guessing that the red bead in the middle is meant to suggest a more mature egg late in the spawn?
