The smallies are still biting, but a lot of fish have moved off of shallow cover into deeper water. My friend and I picked up about a dozen most being ~ 15 inches. Here's a pic of my friend with the best of the night.
basshunter what part of watson do you fish for smallmouth ? what were you using for those monsters i was there acouple a days ago and the ranger told me there is some good size muskie in there

Watson Lake is about 5 miles NW of Ft. Collins. I fish out there a lot, if you are ever thinking of coming up to check it out send me a PM and I'll give you the up-to-date report, and a couple of places to focus on.

I fish pretty much everywhere around the lake - I focus on the island and the west side when I have my bellyboat, or I focus on the south end from shore. I heard that tiger muskie rumor too......I'd sure like to get one out of there! I caught my first Tiger out of Prospect Ponds this spring, and one out of Pinewood last weekend...I'm hooked on those things.
sorry to be such a pain but what did you catch that muskie on in pinewood , ive tried forever to get one with no luck but i found a muskie store and im buying me aton of muskie lures and hoping for one
I caught the Tiger at Pinewood on a 1/4 oz gold spoon. It was small (~18") and I caught it incidently while fishing for trout. I did botch an opportunity on a hawg though - I was jigging a 1/2 oz spoon in front of a HUGE Tiger nestled in some rocks along the shore. When my spoon came into his range he darted out towards it....just as I got hung up!!!!!!! He just stared at it in the rocks for about 15 seconds before he finally swam off. I swear I will post a pic of a keeper before the summer's over
